Nov 23 - A trip out on the sea ice (again)

After recovering from our Big Walk yesterday today was a restful
Sunday. After lunch a couple of us decided to go for a drive out on
the ice on the quad bikes. We stopped just out the front to look at
one of the mad scientists sampling some snow while she is radar-
scanning it (the famed Sea-Ice-Radar project) but the journey ended
shortly afterwards when my bike stalled and wouldn't start. As usual,
as soon as we stopped, a bunch of penguins about 300m away started
running towards us to investigate. The stayed a few minutes, flapped
their flippers and then left. We towed the bike back to station.
